Food and Fluids

Proper nutrition and hydration are essential for patients’ health, and CNAs are responsible for monitoring their nutritional intake. They may assist with meal preparation, help patients eat, maintain a well-stocked pantry of snacks and beverages, monitor food intake, track any dietary restrictions or allergies that patients may have, and report any changes in appetite or eating habits.
