Each record of a table must have a unique identifier that separates one record from all the other records in that table. The ID # is the unique identifier for the Names table.
System generated ID numbers begin with your site code (e.g. if 'X' is your site code the numbers would begin at X00-00-0001; site code is set on Organization Defaults).
Please note: we do not recommended storing the person's Social Security # in the Name ID # field. Instead, store it in the nmcode2 field where it can be encrypted in the database.
