ACEweb Multi Proxy Registration Feature
|
The Multi Proxy Registration feature allows the logged on user to enroll multiple people in a course. When they click the Enroll Someone Else button, they get a list of people to select (see first image).
If the logged on user is allowed to proxy register other people from their Firm (Allowed to Proxy Register Firm on AW box on Name > Demographics tab) (see second image), they get a list of Work (Firm) Contacts by default, and can choose to show their Personal Contacts instead (see third image).
When they add the selected names to the Cart, they will select any registration options for all the registrants (see last image).
There are some important notes about the Multi Proxy Registration feature:
- The Registration Fee rate and any Optional Fees selected are applied to all of the proxies.
- Workshops are supported, with all proxies enrolled in the same selected workshops.
- Supplemental Data Capture pages are not supported if more than 1 person is selected (Supplemental Data is not show on the Cart page).
Interested in this feature for your ACEweb site? See the Multi Proxy Option topic in the Online Help for full details.

Registration Open for 2022 Users' Conference
|
The ACEware Users’ Conference is designed to educate, encourage, and energize our community of software users. We provide continuing education (CE) professionals a forum to share successful, innovative ideas and strategies to grow their programs and to discuss how ACEware works alongside them.
A variety of session types are provided each day:
- General Sessions - for all attendees, topics ranging from software tips and tricks, to new features and enhancements, and customer stories.
- Concurrent Sessions - you choose the sessions that are most beneficial to you.
- Colleague to Colleague Meetups – a time to gather with fellow continuing education professionals to share stories and exchange program ideas.
The conference is set up as a billing only; you will receive an invoice from Susan after registration.
We are excited to use the Whova web application for conference this year. This app will provide you more opportunities to connect with colleagues before and during conference. You can create discussion boards to get comments and feedback from colleagues and ACEware.
Information about how to download and get started with Whova will be included with your confirmation email. There is also a fantastic user guide here.
Make the most of your week by attending a pre-conference extended session. Three concurrent, 4-hour sessions are available to select from. View offerings and enroll here. Pre-conference sessions will be set up as a Zoom meeting Meeting credentials for the pre-conference meetings will be provided before the event.

Calling All Staff Web Access Users
|
Staff Web Access (SWA) allows you to use ACEweb to complete some administrative tasks you do in Student Manager. Currently, you can create, find, and register students. You can apply payments and assign grades, and you can update ACEweb bulletin announcements.
We are deciding which new functionalities/enhancements to add to this feature. Current users of SWA are our best resource in deciding short and long term plans. Your responses will be used to map out our development plans for this feature.

Tech Tip of the Month: Customizing Hard Coded Words on ACEweb
|
Did you know that you can have ACEweb automatically change its vocabulary? For instance, if your organization uses a slightly different lingo than what we offer by default, you can have ACEweb do the translation for you, like changing “course” to “class”!
This is a two part process that involves making the changes on your .htm templates (usually easily done with a find + replace all tool), and then ACEweb will handle the generated references on the .awp pages.
You can access this tool from your ACEweb Administration page by clicking the “Custom Text Options” link, and then selecting the “Edit Vocabulary List” link at the top.

Report of the Month: Members Registered in Classes (Report Wizard)
|
A challenge I received a while back was to show the number of classes being enrolled in by Members. The report needed to look at courses that weren't memberships (actually, I set the filter to show only Open and Online courses), registered for in the past year, and the membership expired in the past year. Fairly straight forward to do once you realized that you weren't looking at the membership registration at all and instead pulling in namecode (where the membership records resides).
Below, you'll see that I broke the information down by the month the registration was completed. You'll also see that there are some registrations in the next year as I had a few classes attended by members in the new year. Anyway, this is demo data, so I'm sure your report will be much more interesting. To get a copy, you just need to download the report here, unzip it, and import it into the Wizard.
Happy membership reporting!
